Hello I'm Kelly!
I love advocating for women and providing holistic, evidence-based care that addresses your needs and helps you to navigate your pregnancy, birth and fourth trimester.
I've been a midwife for 16 years and am currently completing my PhD as well as working within the Held Midwifery Team.

I was an independent midwife in New Zealand before moving to Australia 13 years ago. Since then I have worked in a private hospital and a public birth centre in Adelaide, caring for women from all walks of life. I also support midwifery students in my teaching role at Flinders University.
I am a mother to three gorgeous children, a son and daughter in my arms and a daughter in the stars (who was stillborn in 2018). I look forward to meeting you and supporting you in your own parenting experience, whether that is adjusting to being a new mother or welcoming more children to your family.
My PhD is looking into how midwifery continuity of care supports parents in a pregnancy after loss. Following the stillbirth of my daughter Phoebe in 2018, I became pregnant with my youngest child the following year. My experience of pregnancy after loss shone a light on how important consistent emotional support is during a pregnancy after loss. I wanted someone who knew my story so I didn't need to keep repeating it, and a care team that really understood our history and needs. Sometimes that is hard to find when you are in a busy high-risk antenatal clinic seeing different clinicians at each appointment. After navigating this experience and getting through the busy newborn years, I began my PhD to explore how midwifery continuity of care can support bereaved parents in a pregnancy after loss.
Kelly is a brilliant, passionate midwife and we are grateful to have her as part of our team - both in the care she provides to families, but also in keeping us across all the new research!
